REPRESENT YOURSELF

If you are unable to afford a lawyer, you can represent yourself in a divorce proceeding. Many courts have resources available for pro se (self represented) litigants and your local library may have books you can read to better understand the process and your rights in a divorce in the State of Maryland. You should also contact your local bar association to see if you qualify for a free or low-cost attorney.
